LETTERS from the TROOPS
SPC Ruell Brown
14 Jan 2009
Hello,
Sorry for the delay. Our satellite internet has been down.
They were having an issue with coming up with the payment
for the service.
I'd like to thank you for this program and all of the people
that have been so generous. I am in the process of
responding to a lot of the people that have sent packages. I
saved the customs forms so I could have a return address to
reply to them. My roommate moved them and I thought that he
threw them away. Some of them have been discarded by him so
unfortunately I can't respond to those individuals.
I have been grateful for all of the packages received. All
of the items go to members of my company I place the boxes
in a place accessible my company and the other service
members in the area that way nothing goes to waste. I asked
people what they want and most have said they have plenty of
soap at the moment and they were looking forward to more
food items (such as Chef-Boyardee, Easy Mac, canned
soup/stew). I will continue to ask people if there anything
else.
Thanks a lot,
SPC Brown, Ruell

Thank you all for your generous care packages!

Hello! This is SPC Barrett. Our unit is still here in
Iraq. When we first got here things were a little tough, not
only because it's a new environment but also because we're
so far away from family and friends.
As, soon as I got the first package it was huge. It had
so many letters and notes with so much appreciation and
thankfulness towards the soldiers that are here overseas.
They also sent some great items along with them as well.
Then, so many more packages had come along. It was
wonderful. I haven't really had anytime to write every
single one of them for helping out the soldiers here with
all the packages and support, but I want it to be known that
my fellow soldiers, and myself want to thank each and
everyone you for all that you do for us. Our unit is very
appreciative of what is done by each and everyone of you.
Every package that I received was given out to the whole
unit. Some soldiers were given more things if they don't
really receive mail, or have issues with money. All the
boxes were empty by the end of the day. You wouldn't think
that because they were all so big, but my unit apparently
loves food! haha.
Once again, I want to thank you all who give the support
and the packages. It is very much appreciated.

thank you to all the supporters, I want to thank you for you
care boxes and letters. I'm happy to say that what I have
received has been enjoyed very much by my fellow soldiers
and of course I. Thank you again, remember we are grateful
for making our days.

Update.....We are doing well out here. The response we got
from the Any Soldier Inc. was phenomenal! The guys really
enjoyed the Christmas gifts and cards. We have been really
busy with our mission set out here. Stuff that we could
still use are always some baby wipes, batteries (AA and
AAA), black push top ball point pens, and small note pads
that could be put in their pockets. We all really miss home
and our tour is about half way done so we are all anxious to
get home. Again thanks you all you have done!

I have received numerous boxes and letters the support is
incredible. I am proud to know these are my fellow
Americans. It reminds me that we soldiers are not alone in
this fight. We have America behind us. I have written to
alot of senders and I am trying to write to everyone. I
still have a few people that I correspond with from Desert
Storm. I want the people to know that I take some of these
boxes with me when I go on missions and distribute the
contents to many thankful Soldiers, Airmen and Navy
personnel. We give alot of the hard candy to the young Iraqi
children and they get a this is from your friends in America
speech when they get the candy. We really appreciate all the
support. Thanks everyone in Biometrics.

Sorry for the delay in response, but it has been a bit busy
around here. Thus far the response from people have been
heart warming and my Soldiers are better for it. The items
listed on the webpage are still the same and I thank all the
people so very much for their response to us. I hope to be
able to send a picture soon, but I must await a proper time
and location to take it, as we are restricted in the areas
that we can take a photo. Once again thank you so much from
all my Soldiers and myself.
Happy Holidays

Let me first extend season
greetings and warm wishes for the holidays, I would like to
thank you and the men and women of New Jersey that makes
this possible, we greatly appreciate the gifts and your
support, they truly brought the soldiers joy and a sense of
being home getting those presents, it really touch some of
the soldiers, knowing that someone cares, it also lift their
spirits and put them in that holidays mood. Sometimes it's
hard being away from families and love ones, but it is
individuals like yourself, the people of the great State of
New Jersey that make our job here so much easier, knowing
that citizens of the United States cares and support what we
are doing here. I am glad that everyone got involved,
various groups, school, and clubs it gives us great pleasure
just to know that everyone enjoy putting these gifts
together, now we can truly say the soldiers of Bravo Company
250th BSB, have a secondary family somewhere in New Jersey.
Everyone of those letters were a by the soldiers, we really
appreciate the time and effort each and everyone puts in,
this is truly a teamwork. Once again I must say on behalf of
myself, and the rest of bravo company, "THANK YOU FROM THE
BOTTOM OF YOUR HEARTS" everything you sent was very well
received and appreciated. Please give our best regards to
the rest of your team and to everyone that help to make this
possible and may God bless and keep you all, continue
praying for us, so we will all make it out of here safe and
sound, if all goes well, we will only be here for another
six months, and eventually we will be back home with our
love ones. Thanks again for your prayers and support. God
Bless,
Respectfully, SSG Anglon JR.
